A pair of Lakota Sioux legging strips on hide, beaded in dark blue, white heart red, “greasy” yellow and light blue on a field of white seed beads. This pair of strips bears American Flag motifs between triangular “ mountain “ designs. Sinew sewn. Ca. 1880. Length: 25 inches, 25 1/2 inches ( one strip is slightly longer than the other ). Minor bead loss.
